Summary:

A wandering cowboy rides into a Texas border town and faces frontier lawman "Judge" Roy Bean, who accuses him of horse theft. When the cowboy mends the misunderstanding, they develop a grudging friendship until Bean wants to drive a group of homesteaders out of town.
